Find Your Happy Place

Nothing says relaxation, vacation, or staycation like a few sips on sophisticated St. Armands Circle!  During this light and leisurely “Happy Place Tour,” guests will have the opportunity to taste a variety of specially selected spirits and sample a little of each venue’s most popular fare.  Our fun-loving and entertaining guides will share insights about the fight between the “wets” and the “drys,” as well as how hard Florida was to manage during Prohibition given its 1,000 miles of vast coastline.  (You’ll feel so productive learning things while you drink!)

Delight in some of the Circle’s most renowned watering holes with some special attention and the personal Key Culinary Tours’ touch.  Relish the Columbia’s famous Cuban sandwich and house Sangria; chase a savory chicken taco down with a flight of local beers; and hoist a traditional Margarita or outpace a Rum Runner.  All libations and victuals were thoughtfully chosen because they represent something specific or indigenous to our city, state, history, or climate.

Rich with flavor in every form, we often run into live music at this time of day, and of course, lively conversation along the way.  Come hear about John Ringling’s favorite drink, as well as his eternal influence on Sarasota, the cultural capital of Florida.  We meet at the Neptune statue just steps from the Columbia restaurant and you are more than welcome to linger at our last stop after we finish at 6:30pm.
